Improv for Actors • 4 weeks $180
Tuesdays, August 10-31  • 7-10PM

Using the rules of traditional improvisation, this class is designed to free the actor intellectually, emotionally and physically. Students will sharpen listening skills, exercise creative thinking and react more spontaneously.  Learn to increase character and scene skills though continued practice of improv exercises.  Okay, so it's not just for actors.  It's a great way to explore your creativity, hone presentation skills, become more comfortable speaking in front of others, think on your feet quicker and expand team building skills; all while having fun once a week.
 

Acting Process • 4 weeks $180
Thursdays, August 12-Sept 2  • 7-10PM

This class emphasizes the foundation of the acting process necessary for working in all media. Whether it's theatre, film or TV, the actor must make active, positive choices quickly. The concept of Polar Action™ helps actors to refine their technique. The class is based mainly upon an "Adaptive Technique" for working more immediately. Exercises are designed to make the actor more active and positive in making choices, keeping the focus on strengthening the actors instincts. With use of the generic scenes, actors will discover a more truthful impulse emphasizing imagination and behaving honestly in every moment.
 

Camera Basics • 3 weeks $145
Thursdays, August19-Sept 2  • 7-10PM

On Camera! This Workshop covers the basics of the actor's work on camera. This class will utilize exercises designed to create an increased awareness and trust of his or her instincts. Physical and verbal improvisational techniques will be used to help the actor to be more comfortable and to stay relaxed and focused while working on camera. Also included are fundamental commercial audition techniques.
 

Intro to Acting • 4 weeks $180
Tuesdays, August 24-Sept 14 • 7-10PM

 This is the workshop to start with if you're not sure where to begin.  The class will explore components of actor training ~ body & voice, improvisational exercises, basic script analysis and audition technique.  Learn what actor training is and if it can continue to help you reach your goals.
 

Actors' Workout • 4 weeks $180
TBA  • 7-10PM

Actors bring monologues and scenes to class.  Working on camera and off, students receive useful feedback for audition or acting exercise.  This workshop is also a great way for other professionals to prepare for presentations or spokesperson training.  Each student works individually and at their own level.
 

Acting Dynamics • 4 weeks $180
TBA  • 7-10PM

This class will utilize exercises designed to help stay relaxed and in the moment.  By discovering positive energy within, students will gain confidence in making active and positive choices by learning to recognize what works for them and why.  "Seeing" the work will lead the actor to focus on trusting their unique acting instincts.
